The Best Time to Learn TM

I’ve heard many people say they’d like to learn to meditate but they have no time, that life is too busy.  Isn’t this the perfect time to assign ourselves a bit of space to meditate twice a day?

A great many people say ‘I could never meditate, my mind is too busy.’  We don’t need a calm mind to meditate.  We can meditate successfully in almost any frame of mind and the process of meditation allows the mind to become calmer. Calmness is the result of meditation not a prerequisite.

Many years ago, I remember reading a book about TM and thinking ‘This looks great, I’d love to learn this,’ and when a friend then told me they’d just taken the TM course, I said ‘I’d love to learn TM but I don’t think I’m ready.’  Luckily for me, my friend said: ‘You don’t need to be ready, you just need to meet me on Tuesday and I’ll take you to the TM presentation.’  I’m not entirely sure what I meant by ‘ready.’ Perhaps that I thought I needed space in my life in order to add meditation not realising that meditation creates space in our lives.

Transcendental Meditation is like watering a plant: we add the water and everything gets fresher, more alive and happier.

So when is the best time to learn to meditate? Now!

Our friendly and experienced teachers at The Meditation People use high quality audio equipment and Zoom to create courses around our students’ diaries and teach TM online.
