TM Improves Learning

Studies show that when learning a new skill, for example, a musical instrument, learning is consolidated and improved by taking breaks between practice times. During breaks, recorded magnetoencephalography (MEG) demonstrates that there is a compressed neural replay at a rate of approximately 20-times the acquired skill for consolidation.  And a recently published study in Cell Reports** demonstrates why, as the brain needs that time to consolidate the skill in between its practice. *

When you learn TM with the Meditation People on our Brighton and Hove course or learn TM online, you learn a valuable skill, which, when practised twice a day, gives the mind and body deep rest and a significant break from mental and physical activities.  When we’re rested, we’re able to think more clearly and experience an increased feeling of calmness, which is invaluable in an environment where we’re learning new skills.

We teach TM every month online and every four months in Brighton and Hove.
