TM in a Nutshell

TM is not:

Chanting a mantra, focusing on a mantra, concentrating on a mantra or concentrating on anything else.

TM isn’t trying to relax, trying to empty the mind or focusing on our breathing.

TM isn’t watching or witnessing our thoughts, it’s not body awareness.

TM is a simple natural technique that allows the mind to experience finer states of the thinking process and enables us to experience a state of restful alertness.

The experience of TM is unlike any other meditation.

TM is a technique that lasts for life if learned properly. The Meditation People teach TM in Brighton and Hove and online in four sessions over a weekend plus Monday evening. The sessions include one-to-one tuition.

In these sessions we take you through the practice step by step several times. We explain exactly how TM works, why it works and, most importantly,  how to know if you’re meditating correctly. Using diagrams, video clips and personal instruction, learning TM in Brighton and Hove or online with The Meditation People will leave you with a new skill that’s enjoyable, relaxing and effective.

We provide free follow-up sessions for life. This means you can get in touch with your teacher at any time to arrange a 1-2-1 TM check up. We also hold drop-in group meditations online most weeks.
